Memorial Day, 2009

Monday, May 25th, 2009. ....We have had a great weekend. It started off on Friday when Wayne and Dee came down to visit and attend the 50th annual nascar race at the speedway just up the road from us. Unfortunately the race was rained out last night and again today. They had to return home without having seen a race but we had a good time together, as usual. Jason, Lori, Maren, and Colten came by yesterday for a visit. It was our first time to see Colten and he is a cutie. Maren is growing and as always, a doll. Mel, Craig, & Odin also came up and spent time with all of us. Odin loved Wayne and Dee but he had a little problem trying to figure out which one was Dwayne and which one was Dee. Maren and Odin were both shy when they each arrived. Once Maren felt at ease she showed us how she does yoga and Odin showed us how he can turn somersaults.
Dwayne and Dee brought ALE"8s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 2, 2009 and my last update was July 2008. I'm really burning up the blogs lines. Chuck and Brenda were here this week. Reed was on spring break so they came down and we got to meet little Emma. She is a doll. George has a cold, cough, croup, whooping cough, allergies, or something. He is driving me nuts. I know the house is full of his germs and I'm sure I'll have it next because I have no resistance to anything, especially shopping. I am so excited because I have recently been invited to join the young folks, not blog, but I can't remember what it is called. It's where we can post notes to each other, not instant messaging. A Senior Moment. I don't know why they would invite me to join except they know I can't remember any secrets they might post, therefore, they are safe. We have had tons of rain and if I get up one more day and see the patio out back is wet, I am going to hop back in bed and cover up my head and stay there. The plants and yard are loving it but enough already. Spread it out over the summer when everything is dying of thirst instead of drowning it all now. I think the pool was uncovered this week. It will open in May with a community cookout. YEA!!!! George is so frugal and it doesn't cost to go to the pool so that is where we go for vacation. WoW What a great guy I married........

Trip to Canada

Russ, Opal, Sue and I just completed a bus tour to Canada that was very interesting and exciting. We stayed in a 5-star hotel in Niagra and saw all the sights there and toured Toronto as well. I was very surprised to see Toronoto was such a large metropolis city with big bucks and very interesting buildings and mega skyscrapers and luxury condos galore. Our tour guide was from Canada so she was very informative and good at her job. We had a great bus driver and everybody got along well. (I have plenty of photos but I don't know how to get them on here yet. When (or if) I figure it out, I will post them.)



As I came home from Ky. I brought my MIL back with me for a couple of weeks.
